Plain hair to... BOOM EMO HAIR!! with pics.. plz help!!?

i dont want to cut all my hair off. i just want a quick fix that i can do in the morning... heres my hair:

but like w/o the choppy layers (yet) and highlights (once again, yet... btw thats not me in either of those pics just the hair... ne way im saving up money for a cut and highlights)

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself, but if you take the photo that you want to the hair stylist, they can help you out. You will need a razor cut with some layering, that I know. And there will also be dying, of course. I'm thinking that to get the hair to stay nice and volumized you need to blow dry and also use hair spray. I can't recommend anything else because many times too much product, weighs hair down.

Get layers. In that picture it looks like the layers are different colors. So do that. Or Black hair on top, and at the bottom blond, or the other way around. Oh yeah, spikes too.
