okay peoples, i really don't want to stereotype; but i can't think of anything else. i'm sure everyone knows how emo kids have their hair messy in the back, but neat; and straight in the front? how do they do that? i only have mousse; and my hair is down to my shoulders, the back is about an inch and a half shorter than the front, and i have major layers in the back.

and what is the thing called tease your hair? how do you do it? actual steps would be great, and a pic. please.

Put your hair to the right side over your eye and streightin it if its not already. Mess it up a little bit and i think it will work for you.

hmm.. i guess you cut and straighten the front of your hair (about cheekbone level) and then cut the back to about idk 3 inches long? take some mousse or gel and just mess it up

I hate that hair style... shave ur head. If you are stuck on looking like that, mouse is the wrong way to go... you could either stop washing your hair, or grab a huge tub of hair wax. Bed Head makes some great products for virtually everything that you could think to do with your hair (try the manipulator). Hair wax will give you a natural look, with a firm hold.

Take a razor to the back of your hear (#3) and razor it up to your crown of your head. Then use gel/mouse , Put it on your hand and rub your hand upwards to the crown of your head, That will make it like the back of a EMO hair cut.

Now for the front, That is not too hard. Anything from the crown of your head, Push it forwards and Hairspray it. Hairspray all of the hair in front of the crown of your head

before you cut that . Once its like that find the bottom of your hair (Left Side) and use a pair of Shears(Regular house scissors)And cut in a diagonal line from the hair on the bottom left. Hairspray that more and, TA DAH!

Total Time of Hair Cut: 15 Minutes if done Properly

This is the actual way to get emo hair, I swear.

Roll out of bed. Slather your hands with gel and ruffle your hair. Use more gel to stick up random pieces. Spray liberally with hairspray. Voila. You just spent about twenty minutes to look like you don't care.

To tease your hair:

Get a fine tooth comb. Get a small piece of hair narrower than the comb, and, starting from the roots, comb up and down then up one final time. Let go of the piece and comb it up again, then let go with the comb. It should be pretty teased. Gel it, and crimping makes it a lot easier beforehand.
